The Exodus isn’t just a one time historical event. It is also the overriding theme of the Old Testament because Yahweh is an exodus loving God. He loves to free His people from slavery, join them along the journey as he calls them to follow Him, and bring them to the promise land. So much of the New Testament’s discussion of the kingdom that Christ brought and continues to bring comes out of an understanding of the Exodus. Therefore, over the four Sundays of November Tapestry will be dealing with the theme of Exodus and how we can remember God’s exit strategy during our daily lives.
Sunday nights at 6 p.m. at Washington Elementary School.
